Remember, the therapeutic relationship is important, and finding the right match can make all the difference in your healing journey.

-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from traumatic or distressing life experiences. During EMDR, you'll focus on a troubling memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements). This process helps the brain process difficult memories in a new way, reducing their emotional charge and allowing you to develop healthier beliefs about yourself and the experience. Our founder, Reba Machado, is a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant who specializes in this transformative approach.
-
We believe in personalized care, utilizing various evidence-based approaches including:
EMDR therapy
Solution-focused therapy
Motivational interviewing
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
Behavioral therapy
We tailor our approach to each client's unique needs and goals, drawing from these modalities to create the most effective treatment plan for you.
-
Therapy typically addresses past trauma, mental health conditions, and deep-seated emotional issues. It focuses on healing and developing healthier coping mechanisms.
Coaching, on the other hand, is more future-oriented and growth-focused. Our coaching services help you identify and overcome obstacles to achieving your goals, whether personal or professional. Rather than addressing past wounds, coaching concentrates on creating actionable strategies for moving forward and reaching your full potential.
-
Yes, we do offer faith-based counseling for those who wish to incorporate their spiritual beliefs into their therapeutic journey. While we have connections to the faith community in Riverside, we respect all belief systems and provide this as an option, not a requirement. Our priority is creating a therapeutic environment that honors your values and what brings meaning to your life.
