Client Welcome

Intake Support

Bia Braga is often the first friendly voice a client hears at Raincross Family Counseling, and she takes that responsibility to heart. She understands that reaching out for support can be one of the hardest steps a person takes, and she works to make that first contact feel calm, welcoming, and free of pressure. From the initial phone call through scheduling and intake, Bia helps clients feel seen and steadied before they ever sit down with a therapist. Her care reflects the practice's belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and warmth from the very beginning.

Currently a master's student in counseling psychology at California Baptist University, Bia brings a growing clinical understanding to her administrative work. That foundation helps her recognize what clients may be carrying when they call, and it shapes the patience and sensitivity she offers in every interaction. She is especially attentive to the small details that make the process feel manageable, whether that means explaining a next step clearly or simply offering reassurance that reaching out was the right choice.

Before committing to the field of mental health, Bia spent several years working as a video editor and photographer. That creative background gave her a careful eye, a steady sense of focus, and a habit of noticing what matters to the people in front of her. She carries those same qualities into her role at Raincross, where thoughtful attention and genuine connection matter just as much behind the scenes as they do in the therapy room. Bia works closely with Reba Machado and the clinical team to create a seamless, supportive experience that reinforces the care clients receive.

Outside of work, Bia loves going on little adventures with her dog Theo, mountain biking with her cousin, and volunteering at her local church. These pursuits reflect the same spirit she brings to her work: curiosity, connection, and a heart for showing up for others.

"I recognize that reaching out is often a significant step, and I want to honor that in every interaction. My hope is that clients feel supported and respected from their very first contact with our office, so they can focus fully on their healing."
